PHTC (Pre-Hospital Trauma Care Course) is a course that can be attended by anyone needs to acquire the skills regarding standard procedures of intervention in case of traumatized person.
The course is mainly aimed to first aid employees, such as firefighters, civil protection, but also guides who accompany people in different environments or other people who may need to use such procedures.
The main objective is to teach the correct management of a victim with more traumas. It is necessary to pay attention to self protection and it may be required the use of some medical devices, such as KED extrication device.
The program includes a theoretical lesson and a practical simulation, to teach correct intervention techniques. The simulation will take place on slanted surface, in a car, or other complex environment.
