Rescue Project course for packraft guides is a unique course for those who want to supply guided tours in river, learning specific techniques of rescue and first assistance.
Packraft is a floating that requires a huge range of skills.
One may accompany people in hydrospeed tours, it is necessary to paddle as on a kayak and one must also face raft’s same problems. Therefore Rescue Project Schools’s teachers have developed a precise training program, thanks to their skills and experiences as rafting guides, hydrospeed guides, canoe instructors, river rescue instructors.
What will be acquired
- Swimming skills certificate
- First assistance BLS-D certificate
- First assistance BLS-D certificate
- Correct use of PPE in accordance with Italian applicable law D.Lgs 81/08
- Information and formation on packraft use as a guide, in accordance with Italian law D.Lgs 81/08
The program is developed in 4 days of formation, it is necessary to already have acquired good skills in packraft leading on a river of 3’ level.
The course is divided in technical lessons, rescue and self rescue parts, first aid, hiking basics, such as correct reading of a geographical map and basic orientation knowledges. Much attention will be given to progressive learning and training aspects.

- It is possible to rent PPE for the course ( neoprene 5mm wetsuit, homologated helmet and lashing )
